Promotion of Bulk Potato

On December 18, 2024, two representatives of the Fondation Coup de Cœur met with Mr. Martin Munger, CEO of the Banque Alimentaire du Québec (BAQ), and Kevin Toudic, to offer them a promotional bulk donation: seven truckloads of bulk potatoes, representing a total of 400,000 pounds.

The positive impact of this project was such that it inspired the Fondation Coup de Cœur to now focus its potato donations exclusively in bulk format, in order to maximize the reach and effectiveness of its mission.

It is therefore worth highlighting the following:

1- With the donation of one million pounds of potatoes provided free of charge to the 19 Moissons of Quebec in the summer of 2024 (see project #2504),

2- With the agreement signed with the Banque Alimentaire du Québec on October 8, 2024, for the donation of another one million pounds of bagged potatoes (see project #2506),

3- And with this current donation of 400,000 pounds of bulk potatoes, the Fondation Coup de Cœur will have distributed, between June 2024 and June 2025, more than 2,400,000 pounds of potatoes across 1,300 food distribution points throughout Quebec.
