Donation by Fondation Coup de Coeur and Vosh Santa Cruz of 350 pairs of reading glasses to the Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise for redistribution to various charitable organizations in Ghana.

Hello Fatima and Jean,
 
I hope you had an enjoyable holiday season and that all is well with both of you.
 
Again, thank you for the eyeglasses. As planned, Peter took them to Ghana when he went there before Christmas and I’ve attached some photos that were taken. The first is one taken here of Peter with the suitcase of glasses. The rest of the photos were taken in Ghana where presentations were made to several hospitals/clinics that were most appreciative of receiving them. There is one showing a person recording the presentation, I believe the video was shown on television.
 
There is also a photo of an eye examination in progress; it was taken at St. Michael’s Hospital in Pramso. We are particularly proud of the sustainability and work of this very well recognized eye clinic that was originally established by CanSEE (Canadian Surgical Eye Expedition) in the late 1990s. CanSEE was a Cornwall based organization, which we supported. CanSEE was active for a number of years in Ghana during which the founders ensured that the clinic had a qualified ophthalmologist, a well trained staff and appropriate equipment. In one of the photos, you will see members of our group arriving to present glassed to this clinic near Kumasi that continues to provide important eye care.
