In the parish of Saint-Paul de Sambia in Congo, tapping of a source of drinking water. Catching the water source will serve nearly 500 households.
This $ 6,650.00 project will improve the lives of over 2,500 beneficiaries.

Hello Mr Jean & Fatima,

Before sending this request (coming from the parish priest), I took some time, because I really wanted to choose a very interesting water project that will relieve a large number of households.
On March 30, 2023, our Bishop erected a new parish 145 km from Dungu: the parish of Saint-Paul de Sambia, and he assigned two priests there.
Here is the request of the parish priest of Saint-Paul parish:
“Since April 2023, we have been assigned to the Parish of Saint Paul de Sambia to start the parish. It is an artisanal gold mining career. The population is estimated at over 15,000. The Christians are really committed and help us a lot in the pastoral work as a whole. However, we are facing a drinking water problem. Every morning, the mothers come to help us fetch water from the spring which is close to the parish (about 800 m). It is poor quality water that causes the population to regularly suffer from waterborne diseases, especially typhoid and intestinal worms. Since we have been here we have faced this problem ourselves.
In one of our chapels in Wazina, 7 km from here, you helped to build a source of drinking water that works wonderfully. This is why we thought of presenting our situation to you so that you can help us. I am also sending you the image of the source we are currently using. The population that will be directly affected can be estimated at more than 500 households, or 2,000 to 2,500 people. The cost of making is $6,650.
