Following our many conversations, I hereby submit a request for funding:
The general objective of this project is to significantly reduce food insecurity and promote the food autonomy of citizens in need by creating an alternative supply system rooted in sustainable development. It specifically aims to improve the supply of healthy foods, particularly fruits and vegetables, while emphasizing the fight against food waste. This project is based on a strong citizen participation as a transversal axis, in a logic of development of the power to act individually and collectively.
Concretely, this project unfolds in three parts: food recovery, processing and redistribution. Member organizations, citizens and partners are called upon to get involved in each of these aspects.
To implement this project, the purchase of a Toyota forklift worth $48,000.00 would be essential.
