Dear Jean and Fatima
As one of the directors of the Board of Directors of the Nepal Community Development Foundation, a small Canadian NGO with a storefront in Toronto, I am pleased to submit a request for funding in the amount of $4,011.00 for a project of water in Nepal of which here is the description:
In the rural municipality of Maijogmai in eastern Nepal, construction of a retaining wall, a fence and the installation of taps on a platform.
This project, with a total cost of $ 7,100.00, will provide drinking water to more than 600 beneficiaries.
Local participation will be the collection and transportation of materials (sand, rock, etc.), the digging of trenches, the laying of pipes and the filling of trenches, all for a value of $ 2,589.00. The maintenance, repair and management of the installations will be carried out by the villag committee.
Villagers who come to the school to fetch water will have to pay a small monthly sum to a fund provided to ensure the sustainability of the project.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the project. It was developed in collaboration with the community and elected municipal officials.
Thank you for your attention to this request.
