In the districts of Asutifi North, Sekyere East and Afigya Kwabre North, in Ghana, training of villagers in the identification of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) such as yaws, Buruli ulcers and leprosy. Also, training on safe water usage and hygienic measures such as washing hands and taking care of the sick. The project, at a total cost of $ 124,000, will train more than 8,000 people.

I am writing to you today to offer you a partnership in the new project my Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise is leading in Ghana. Building on our partnerships in the past, I am confident that this project will be successful thanks to the fact that we will partner up again.
This time it is a project that will allow a clear improvement in the quality of life mainly of women and children and a drastic reduction in the spread of preventable diseases, by training the villagers of the Districts of Asutifi Nord, Sekyere Est and Afigya Kwabre Nord in the practice of sanitary procedures, such as hand washing, water management and treatment of the sick. Also, medical personnel on site will receive training in the identification of Neglected Tropical Infections, such as yaws, Buruli ulcers and leprosy, in addition to training in skin grafting and the equipment necessary for this effect. The project will benefit more than 8,000 villagers at a total cost of $ 124,000.
