In the village of La Vega, Guatemala, installation of a manual pump of 15 horsepower, a chlorination system, a water tower, and a distribution system of water, as well as the drilling of a well. The project, of a total cost of $ 438,600.00, will bring drinking water to more than 2,500 villagers.

I hope you are well.

I am writing to you today to present to you the project of my Rotary Club of Kalispell in Guatemala. This is a multi-faceted water project that would allow a completely destitute community to go on the development path by meeting their most basic need, water.
The project, of a total cost of $ 438 600.00, will provide potable water and the necessary facilities for its distribution to more than 2,500 villagers. The story of the inhabitants of the village of La Vega is sad; they are refugees from a war which did not concern them and who were deported from their homeland, now having to survive on very little. In addition, their artisanal wells being too close to their pit toilets, the water they drink is contaminated with fecal coliform, making the population sick.
Seeing the scale of the projects you have undertaken and the impressive number of beneficiaries to whom you have offered drinking water, we would be very happy and grateful if you could help us realize this wonderful project by granting us a financial contribution. We believe that this project aligns perfectly with the values you promote with your Rotary Club of Montréal.
