Dear Jean and Fatima,
I hope you are both well. I’d like to introduce you by email to our friend and a fellow Rotarian, Jeff Mense. Jeff is a member of the Chicora Rotary Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We have partnered with their club on a number of projects in the Iquitos region. They are currently putting together a Global Grant for a community near Iquitos called 12 de Abril. Here are some photos of the current situation in 12 de Abril:
https://flic.kr/s/aHsmgFtyWt. There are several water sources, all contaminated, that don’t yield enough water to provide reliable service. The school in the community has a sanitation project that is never used because of lack of water. We plan to change this situation through the project and the proposal for this project is attached. I hope you all and Jeff might discuss the opportunity to partner/collaborate together on this project through Fondation Coup de Coeur and RC of Montreal. I leave it to you all to carry forward this conversation! I’m glad to be a part of any discussions you have if I can help answer questions or provide more insight on the project.
Many thanks,
David Inman,
Water Mission
