The request:
Dear Mr. Gagnon and Mrs. Lahmami,
It is with joy that I write this morning to share with you the concrete impact of the donation made by the Gilles Trudel Family to your Fondation Coup de Cœur few months ago. Their generosity allowed for the installation of a well and a manual pump in the village of Kotha Colony and two water purification systems in the villages of Boppapur and Nagaram in southeastern India.
I give the floor to Kavitha, a beneficiary of the project that took place in the village of Nagaram:
"Dear leaders and employees of Bala Vikasa,
Before this project, water was scarce in our village. We deprived ourselves of drinking and we could not wash ourselves regularly and all this caused us health problems.
I was part of the committee that submitted the application to have easy access to water in our village. I did this for my son, my family and my community so we would have a better life. After that, I followed several Bala Vikasa trainings which taught me a lot about health and hygiene. I wanted to continue my commitment to this project and that's why I volunteered to be part of the project's management and sustainability committee.
I am proud of what I have accomplished and it gives me the courage to become even more involved with my family and my community so that we can become independent.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Kavitha."
As this testimony demonstrates, a donation to Fondation Coup de Cœur quickly turns into a humanitarian investment! Proud to have participated in this project, Kavitha has changed her way of doing things, sensitized her family and friends to this project and is now a leader in her community. Other women and men in the three communities affected by the Trudel Family's projects have experienced the same transformations and will continue to act as agents of change in their communities.
On behalf of the 1,830 people affected by these projects, we warmly thank the Gilles Trudel Family for their openness to the world and their sense of solidarity. They are a good example of how together we can change the world for the better.
Thanks again!!
Yours truly,
Janice Aubry
