Good morning Mr. Gagnon and Mrs. Lahmami,

 
I hope this letter finds you both in good shape.

I am writing today to submit a new application for the installation of a water filtration system in the village of Mulkalagudem.

SOPAR is currently working in nearly 800 villages in southern India. Access to safe drinking water in these villages is usually very difficult. As you know, villagers face an additional challenge: many water sources in the area contain too much fluoride causing damage to bones, joints and teeth.
The village of Mulkalagudem in the state of Telangana is one of these villages. The members of our Women's Program and the village leaders have made a request for the installation of a water purification system. Following their request, we met them and a group of women (one of whom you can see in the attached) described their situation: penniless, they and their children are obliged to drink from the water that makes them sick. They had learned that we had helped the neighboring villages in the same situation and they would very much like us to do the same for their village.

I am therefore hoping that you could consider a support for this village to ensure that the people of Mulkalagudem have access to purified water and have the chance to improve their living conditions.
