Water
Africa
India
The project:
In the village of Pimpri in India, set up of a water filtration system and construction of the building that houses it and in the two villages of Muppavaram and Konanki also in India, drilling of two wells surmounted by two hand pumps.
The project, with a total cost of $ 15,900, will bring drinking water to 1,325 people.
The request:
It is with joy that I am writing today to give you information related to three projects that have emerged thanks to the support of Jean-Pierre and Georgette Beaudoin. As you will see, there are 1325 more people in the world who now have access to clean water.
Ensuring access for all is one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The organization says that to date, 783 million people do not have access to safe drinking water and 1000 children die every day from preventable diseases caused by poor water quality and lack of sanitation or hygiene.
The young people you see in the photos live in one of the villages affected by the Beaudoin family's projects. They could have been part of these statistics but, thanks to the Beaudoin Family and that of the Fondation Coup de Coeur , they will have access to better health and education. Children, especially girls, will go to school instead of spending several hours a day with their mothers collecting water, and these mothers will have more time to take care of their children and to attend to their daily occupations.
Together, we change the world one project at a time.
Thank you for being part of our mission.
