The project:
In the villages of Antargaon and Gouraram in India, installation of two water purification systems as well as the construction of two buildings that shelter them.
This project, with a total cost of $ 28,200, will provide purified water to 2,365 beneficiaries.
The request:
From: SOPAR
To: Fondation Louise Grenier
Fondation Louise Grenier, through Fondation Coup de Coeur and SOPAR, has already participated in the installation of a water purification system and the construction of two wells in India. We would like to thank you warmly for your gesture of solidarity and for your generosity.
Mr. Jean Gagnon of Fondation Coup de Coeur informed us that your Foundation is currently accepting project submissions. As access to water is a major challenge in the rural areas of India where we work, we would like to present our project "Access to Water - A Fundamental Right".
This project aims to install water purification systems in two villages in India to provide easy and affordable access to purified water and improve the health and hygiene to about 2,500 villagers. The installation of such systems is necessary since a large part of the groundwater where we work contains fluoride in excessive quantity causing serious health problems.
SOPAR (Sharing Society) is a non-profit organization dedicated to international development.
We are recognized as a model organization in the community through the transformative programs we are implementing in poor rural communities. We favor a human approach that leads people to change their attitudes and take charge of themselves.
We thank you for your attention to our request and are available to answer all your questions.
Sincerely,
Janice Aubry
Program Manager
