Me again, Brother Jean-Marie!

I am very proud to see that you have appreciated the result of our first partnership in the water supply project in the village of Poko Amadi in the DRC and I would therefore like to present you a new project.
This is again a water supply project which will be located this time in the Bibwa district of the DRC, namely the digging of a well, the installation of a manual pump and of a tank of 10,000 liters.
The total cost will be $ 15,000. We already have the local participation in labor and raw material for $ 2,500 and the participation of the Brothers of the Christian Instruction for $ 7,500, which leaves us with a shortfall of $ 5,000 that we are asking you for.
The district of Bibwa extends from day to day due to the overpopulation of the city of Kinshasa estimated today to more than 11 million inhabitants.
As the neighborhood is not serviced by running water, women spend a lot of their time in the queues to access the few wells that exist in the neighborhood, often leading to sometimes violent battles on the water existing well sites.
Regarding sustainability, families will be required to pay a minimum monthly fee for the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and the Brothers who are present in the neighborhood will ensure the good management of this maintenance fund and the sustainability of the infrastructures put in place.
