The project:

In the commune of Ipelcé in Burkina Faso, drilling of a well and construction of a curb by the Coopérative Maraîchère d'Ipelcé for the irrigation of its agricultural production and the feeding of its animals.
The $ 30,000.00 project will also provide drinking water to the surrounding 6,300 residents.

Good day  Jean and Fatima,

Following our telephone conversation this morning, here are some explanations about our NGO and our current water project.
Corcovado has been working with the Commune of Ipelcé since 2013. Many projects have been carried out in education, childcare, health, infrastructure, etc. The Commune counts about 16 000 people, nearly half of whom are women.
In June 2015, due to a need to increase their income and their autonomy, women from the Coopérative Maraîchère d'Ipelcé decided to acquire a 6 hectares land  on which they can grow and raise animals. Then was born a Cooperative! 
In January 2016, a $ 5,000.00 loan was made by Corcovado's donors to purchase the first animals and first seeds.
In the meantime, the women were trained by an agronomist as well as by a loan adviser, in order to understand, and the market gardening, and the management of a cooperative.
The cooperative is now at the point where it is in great need of water to allow irrigation of its production and feeding its animals.
Drilling would not only provide water for the cooperative's work but would also provide drinking water for the 6 300 inhabitants of the area.
The total cost of the project is $ 30,000.00 and we are calling on your Foundation to subsidize the $ 3,000.00 missing to finalize our financial package.
