The project:
Visual screening offered to 219 students at Fernand Gauthier Elementary School, Montreal.
The request:
Montreal, February 6, 2017
From: Marie-Josée Hamel Director Fernand-Gauthier School
To: Fondation Coup de Coeur
Mr. Gagnon and Ms. Fatima Lahmami Langlois.
My name is Marie-Josée Hamel, Director of Fernand-Gauthier Elementary School at the Pointe-de-L'Îe School Board.
I have just met Mrs. Johanne Landry who told me about your project.
Our school has 219 pupils from kindergarten 4 years to 6 years. We are the most disadvantaged school in Rivière-des-Prairies. It would be very appreciated to collaborate with you to check the quality of their sight.
Your support would be more than appreciated and would surely allow many of our students to continue their educational journey.
Many parents do not think of having their child's eyes examined, so we believe that screening for eye diseases at school would be an unbelievable opportunity for our students and their parents.
On behalf of the students of the Fernand-Gauthier school, we thank you for the attention that you will bring to our request and look forward to hearing from you.
To the delight, Marie-Josée Hamel
