The request:

Good afternoon Jean and Fatima,

It is a pleasure to be introduced to you through Water Mission and Jay Cook.  I am very impressed with your projects completed and shown on your website throughout the world.
My Rotary E-Club of Canada one and its members have already raised $7,925US, and we already pledges from other Rotary Clubs of $ 25,764 USD which numbers leave us to raise another $ 26,690.00 to meet our obligation.
The Rotary E-Club of Canada one, founded three years ago has about 35 members who are located in Northwest Territories, British Columbia, Alberta, USA, Guatemala and Ontario so we are spread far and wide. Two of our members have been to Honduras as well.  Listed on our website are names of the projects we as a Club have completed in the last three years internationally but this is the tip of the ice berg as many of our Club have international and project experience as well as years of Rotary project experience.
We are eager to make a difference in this communities' life and health and many in our club care deeply about the access to purified water situation and what a difference adequate quantity of water, purification and conservation of water and education about potable water and hygiene can make in this community. The initiation of a Water Utility and education Water Mission will oversee will help the community Water Committee engage the community in this project.
Key to this improved access to water is the replacement of an 8km water line with a larger one of 4 inches deemed adequate for the next 20 years not by not only Water Mission but also other technical advisers in Honduras.  The new pipeline will be buried three feet underground which will be installed by the community with the Water Committee over site.
In addition, in my 15 years in Rotary and doing Rotary Foundation projects (Previous to this, I lived in El Salvador for 10 years) I have never seen such a solidarity in community working groups and activity of all the Rotary Club of El Progreso members as I have seen this year of development and final decisions agreed to by all in our Memorandum of Understanding.
If you have further questions of us please simply ask or we can chat.
This is an exciting project that will open doors to the children and families and as well economic development in the community. There is a strong element here of community development as well spawned by the hop this project is bringing to all.
Is this Rotary, Water and Sanitation project of interest to you?

Yours in Rotary,
