Funding for a project involving the digging of two wells and the installation of well nozzles in the Ambato Avaratra neighbourhood, located in the Ambato Boeni district of Madagascar. The total cost of the project is valued at $ 9,000.00 and will provide water for more than 600 people.

After last year's successful hand digging of a well and construction of a water tower in collaboration with you, we wish to thank you for your usual generosity and for the confidence you have, both in me and the Akany Roborobo Village Association.
Given the pertinence, transparency and governance of the projects we have completed together throughout the years, we wish to renew our partnership with you in order to better the lives of people in need of potable water and basic education.
For the 2016 project, the villagers, along with the permanent Committee for Water Distribution west of the Ambato Boeni village, have identified two sites in the Ambato Avatara neighbourhood that are ready to be dug to house two wells which will supply water to 600 people. The funds required are valued at $ 4,500.00 CAD for each well, for a grand total of $ 9,000.00 Cad. Twenty volunteers from Scouts Canada will head to Ambato Avaratra to implement the project, and the people on site will see to the maintenance, security and sustainability of the wells.
