Dear John and Fatima,
I am requesting your contribution to raise the financing for a magnificent water and sanitation project in Ghana that has a total cost of $ 212, 300.00.
Your Coup de Coeur Foundation is well known for its participation in these types of projects and we look forward to having your contribution to this project which is going to have a very significant impact to a community in Ghana.
This project covers the drilling of 19 new wells, the rehabilitation of 18 old wells and the construction of 106 latrines in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
The project will provide drinking water for 20 years to 5,000 students and 18,598 farmers in 20 towns.
The new facilities will eliminate illnesses such as diarrhea, typhoid and dysentery. It would allow children to be healthy and to go to school instead of spending many hours each week carrying unsanitary water that would make them sick.
Since 2003, I have dedicated my life to provide drinking water to farmers and students from Ghana.
Since 2007, my Rotary Club has undertaken partnerships with 2 Canadian Rotary Clubs and 17 Rotary Clubs in the United States and Switzerland to provide water for more than 300,000 people.
In 2012, I gave a lecture on our projects to the Rotary District 7040 in Brockville, Ontario.
Regarding compliance with your Coup de Coeur Foundation’s values of Relevance,
Transparency, Governance, Impact and Sustainability, this project will be submitted to the very strict requirements of Rotary International Foundation for compliance to those same values. Therefore, I will not repeat the explanations on compliance of the project to these values in this present request to FCC.
A contribution of $ 5,000.00 on your part would more than tripled by the Rotary Group to support costs of drilling two new wells, the rehabilitation of two wells and the construction of six latrines.
I will be the prime contractor of this project assisted by the elected president Frank Kofi Owusu from the Rotary Club of Sunyani Central Ghana.
Hoping to begin a partnership with your foundation in this project of far reaching impact, I send you my thanks and best regards.
