Drilling of a water well and installation of a manual pump to serve a population of 600 people in the village of Balolé, Burkina Faso.

On this Saturday, I went to Balolé Douré, a village where water pumping was tested for four hours. You had to see the women quickly filling up their drums with water without having to walk 6 or 7 km to get it... Women and children expressed their gratitude to the Fondation Coup de Cœur of Montreal. To mark the occasion, we brought cookies in small bags... Children were thrilled and happily participated in the "Home Water Party." Bear in mind that this water well is strategically located at the heart of four surrounding neighborhoods. People got a triumphal reception and received our blessings and wishes, not to mention the delicious food that we provided.
Because of the road's poor conditions and high heat (it was 39 degrees in the shade) I was a little "beaten." But in my heart, I was happy to see how water is such a valuable and essential commodity that contributes to the well-being of mankind and all villages in the world.The pump and the well curbstone will be installed next week.
