The request:

Dear Mr. Gagnon and Fatima ,

It is my pleasure to share with you today the Report (#4) which includes photos and village information of the two projects implemented with the generous donations of Marcel and Luce Baril. Projects have been successfully inaugurated recently. As you can see in the photos the women, men and children are joyful as they finally have access to clean water. They are now enjoying the multiple benefits that this clean water brings, and their lives are forever changed for the better. Thank you very much for your partnership!
Here is a testimony from the mayor of the village of Samudrla:
My name is Gunde Vimala, I am the Sarpanch (village mayor) and a member of Bala Vikasa (BV) women development program. Since many years through women empowerment program, I have learned a lot and now happy to serve my village. Our village also have BV Widow empowerment, orphan education, humanitarian, and organic farming projects. Through our women program, I heard about the possibility of applying for a water project. Our village have been struggling since many years for clean and affordable water to drink. With the support of my group, one day I approached Bala Vikasa and applied for a new water purification project.

Before having this project, our village had a small private Water purification plant, but the cost of water was high. Families who could not afford purchasing commercial purified water continued to drink the contaminated water. As the business slowed down, they could not afford to maintain the machine and so recently it was closed. We also have some access to Government project, which we use for general purposes only. Therefore, we are so happy that we now have a community owned water purification system, having access to water 24/7 by all families at an affordable cost. Our Water committee is active and making sure we follow BV  trainings and maintain the project well and we look forward to developing our community in multiple angles. We thank Bala Vikasa, SOPAR and the generous donors in Canada. We are forever grateful to have this gift of water.

Once again, we thank the Fondation Coup de Cœur and the generous donors Marcel and Luce  for your generosity and kind collaboration. We deeply appreciate your loyal partnership and trust in us, which inspires and motivates us to continue the mission you share with us towards the poorest of the poor: to support them concretely while developing their capacity to help themselves.

Sincerely,
Shobha Singareddy
