In the two villages of Reddypalem and Aknoor, in India, installation of two water purification systems and the buildings that house them. Also, in the two villages of Dorlapally and Muddireddypalli also in India, drilling of two wells surmounted by two hand pumps of India # 2 brand.
These facilities, at a total cost of $ 30,000.00, will provide drinking water to more than 4,055 beneficiaries.

Hello Mr. Gagnon and Mrs. Lahmami,

Warm greetings to both of you.

I am writing to report on four projects for access to drinking water that Fondation Coup de Cœur has asked us to put in place on behalf of Mr. Marcel Baril.
We are happy to inform you that these projects are now providing 4055 poor people in the region where we work in southern India with easy and affordable access to water.
hese projects are timely! The COVID-19 pandemic we are facing increases the need for access to water in order to facilitate the implementation of preventive health and hygiene measures.

The village of Aknoor, which now benefits from a water purification system thanks to the generosity of Mr. Baril, was able to quickly provide a 24-hour access to purified water service for all.
Villagers are urged to respect social distancing measures when they come to get their water.
While in the village during the inauguration of this project, our program officer shared with me some testimonials from the villagers, testimonials that I am sharing with you at the moment:

“We felt helpless in the face of this crisis. I was afraid for the health of my parents and my children. This project gives us a big helping hand. We no longer have to limit our water consumption. We can all wash our hands regularly as requested by the government ”.

“Health is all we have! Without health, my husband and I cannot work to feed our children. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the benefactor who made this project possible. It’s like luck from the sky! Purified water right next to my house at an affordable price ... That changes everything for
us and even more with this virus which threatens us”.
