The request:

From: Shobha Singareddy, SOPAR
To:  Fondation Coup de Cœur

Dear Mr. Gagnon and Mrs. Lahmami,

I am writing to you today to inform you that we have completed three other projects thanks to the support and generosity of Mr. Jean Crépeau and his wife Céline, as well as that of Fondation Coup de Cœur.
As agreed, we built three wells in three villages where people did not have access to water near their homes. These people who live there are among India's most marginalized castes, poor and mostly uneducated. They participated actively in the project by attending sensitization meetings on the importance of health, hygiene and the maintenance of manual pumping wells. Because we believe that villagers must participate in their own development in order to have confidence in their ability to improve their personal well-being, they also contributed 20% of the total cost of the project.
These projects will have a real impact for them and their families: better health and hygiene, increased family income and increased school attendance.
A total of 775 people were helped thanks to the opening and solidarity gesture of the Crépeau family and the FCC.
On behalf of SOPAR and the beneficiaries, I thank you warmly for helping these people to help themselves and become self-reliant.

Sincerely,

Shobha Singareddy
Director
SOPAR
