The project:

In the village of Yanshi in Peru, cleaning a well, installing a water tank and a solar pumping system, and setting up a distribution water system. This water will be distributed in 20 liters containers per motorized vehicle at the school and the Ursulines convent  as well as in all areas of the village.
The project will cost $ 66,000.00 US and will provide clean water for all 1600 residents.

Good day to you both.

The purpose of this letter is to seek a financial support from Fondation Coup de Coeur  for the implementation of the Yanashi drinking water project in the Peruvian Amazon that we are in the process to undertake.
This project will be carried out in partnership with Water Mission and Juan Simon accompanied by his staff  have made several visits to Yanashi since last September. They have elaborated the project to revive this drinking water system which has become inoperative due to the floods of the unusual rain during the recent years. The management of Water Mission in Charleston S.C. verified and confirmed the project.
The details and budget of the project can be found in appendices. Water Mission staff will be responsible for the work in addition to the technical direction and monitoring for a minimum of 18 months. A water education and hygiene education program will be put in place for all users.
The total project cost is  $ 66,000.00 US. However, if they are unable to reduce the turbidity of the water well enough, a water treatment unit will be added at an approximate cost of $ 10,000.00 US
The Wings of Hope have pledged to provide the necessary funding but a contribution that Fondation Coup de Coeur  would make would be highly appreciated.
